I’ll be honest I didn’t want to drop more cold hard cash on another substack but with this kind of weapons grade Lib, probably would’ve paid double for it.
On a more serious note since there aren’t that many comments yet and I can see management is reading the comments -
As much as I love getting serious and sober center-left takes on the most pressing issues facing America, I think it would be good for everyone’s psyche to have at least some weekly levity to break up the pretty bleak things happening. Like we can get 6 days a week on NIMBYs killing housing or Trumps increasingly fascist regime, and maybe one day a week we get movie reviews or a fluff piece on beach volleyball or something. Rank the Stephen Starr restaurants or positive pieces on the joys of parenting!
Just force feed me some positivity because my Twitter feed or seeing border patrol sitting in an unmarked car at the end of my street sure as hell ain’t doing it for me.
Before I left Boston City Council staff, I bought four copies of “on the housing crisis” to distribute to a councilor, staff and a couple of the summer interns.
So seeing Jerusalem launch this, it’s an auto-sub from me.
This pub and the comments section are going to underpin the intellectual framework for the next successful left-of-center administration come when it may.
America is full of sheep and we will make them liberals by bashing them in the heads with our ideas again and again and again and again in all media we can get our hands on!
